THE DUTCH MISSION TO SAN FRANCISCO, USA
During May 2017, the Amsterdam Rainbow Dress Foundation traveled to San Francisco, California as part of an LGBTIQ+ mission. The group was led by the deputy mayor of Amsterdam and supported by the cities of Amsterdam and San Francisco as well as the Dutch Consulate in San Francisco. The foundation produced a set of striking images that showcase the dress as a beacon of strength, resistance and support for the international LGBTIQ+ community, serving as a banner of hope for individuals who have been displaced from their homeland due to anti-LGBTIQ+ policies.
