The Amsterdam Rainbow Dress is a proud part of the Maison Amsterdam Fashion Exhibition in the Nieuwe Kerk in Amsterdam. For six months (september till april 2022) all visitors to Amsterdam are invited to come and watch it in full splendour.

Fashion has always been thé visible and notable way for radical self expression. And while the other 150 creations on display stipulate the joy and unlimited exuberance of fashion, The Amsterdam Rainbow Dress is here for that very important counter realisation… Not everywhere in the world ‘being different’ will be met with admiration, but with discrimination, penalties and life threatening consequences.

At the same time, the Amsterdam Rainbow Dress also celebrates the city of Amsterdam for its forthcoming and acceptance of all LGBTI+ members.
